Why does my LFConnector scanning device still appear to be in Evaluation mode (or expired) even after I've successfully activated my Serial Number?

There are two common reasons for this.

The most common cause is due to an incorrect IP address used to generate the device code.  To determine the proper IP address, refer to the FAQ entitled What IP address do I use to Activate a Serial Number for the LFConnector?

To resolve the issue in this first case, use the eCopy ShareScan OP Administration Console to access the LFConnector Licensing tab, Deactivate the Serial Number in question, and Activate it again using the correct IP address.

The other less likely scenario occurs on a scanning device with multiple network adapters (e.g. multi-homed server or a laptop with both wired & wireless interfaces).  It is possible that the wrong IP address was used to generate the device code, even if that particular IP address appears next to your device in the eCopy ShareScan OP Administration Console.

To resolve the issue in this second case, again use the eCopy ShareScan OP Administration Console to access the LFConnector Licensing tab, Deactivate the Serial Number in question, and Activate it again using the other network adapter's IP address.

For more information about activating a Serial Number, please refer to the FAQ entitled What are the main steps for activating an LFConnector Serial Number?

For more information about deactivating a Serial Number, please refer to the FAQ entitled What are the main steps for deactivating an LFConnector Serial Number?
