What causes an LFConnector error message stating "Unknown image format, or the format is not allowed"?
|
While not common this can occasionally occur the very first time the LFConnector is run after a new install. Take the steps below to correct the issue. Once a successfull scan and commit to the repository occurs thru the LFConnector, the remaining troubleshooting steps can be ignored:
- Reboot the SSOP Manager computer where the LFConnector was just installed
- Occasionally a critical file on the PC was unavailable for update during the install, but will succeed upon restarting the computer
- Test the LFConnector
- Exit out of the SSOP Application on the computer and return to the desktop
- Open the full Laserfiche client on the SSOP Manager computer
- Login to the client with the same credentials specified in the configuration of the LFConnector
- Make sure the target repository matches the open configured in the LFConnector
- Drag and drop a TIF image from the computer desktop into a folder in the full Laserfiche client
- Close the full Laserfiche client
- Restart the SSOP Application
- Test the LFConnector by scanning a document into the same folder used three steps above
- Exit out of the SSOP Application on the computer and return to the desktop
- Open the full Laserfiche client on the SSOP Manager computer
- Login to the client with the same credentials specified in the configuration of the LFConnector
- Go to "Tools", "Options", "New Documents", "File Options"
- Highlight "tif" and click "Remove" to remove it from the list, and click "OK" or "Close" to exit all screens (but not the Laserfiche client)
- Go back to "Tools", "Options", "New Documents", "File Options"
- Using the dropdown box, select "tif" to add it back to the list and click "OK" or "Close" to exit all screens
- Exit out of the Laserfiche client
- Restart the SSOP Application
